I’m a collaborative developmental editor with a passion for helping authors bring their ideas to life. As a compassionate teacher, I love coaching writers through their thinking processes and supporting them as they explore and present difficult and sensitive topics. As a detail-oriented professional, I’m always on the lookout for opportunities to improve the organization, clarity, and presentation of a manuscript. I’m also a critical thinker with experience working directly with authors to identify weaknesses and communicate feedback tactfully.

One of my specialties is amplifying a writer’s voice without changing the heart of the work. I’m known for being approachable and open, and for providing useful feedback that helps writers reimagine their writing and elevate their craft by exploring and expanding their point of view.

I have a diverse set of skills and qualifications that make me well-suited to my role as a Developmental Editor. I’m experienced in project management, citation, and various formatting styles such as Chicago, APA, and MLA. I’m skilled in both verbal and written communication. I’m comfortable taking on a variety of projects. I have experience editing manuscripts, dissertations, and curriculum, and writing poetry, essays, blogposts, and social copy.
